CISO MAG Awards India 2019 are organized with a mission to honour excellence in information security. An initiative by CISO MAG, the information security magazine from EC-Council, CISO MAG Awards India 2019 recognize organizations, individuals and products that have a difference in the domain and generated tangible results.

The awards will be judged by cybersecurity stalwarts who hold immense experience and knowledge in the information security space. The award winners will be decided via a proprietary and unique scoring system set up by our Process Partner – Deloitte India. The system would selectively measure performance across multiple business domains, and reward those whose achievements stand above the rest. The winners will be announced in at a black-tie ceremony, held in Mumbai.

Please complete the nomination forms below. Each nomination form will be thoroughly and rigorously reviewed by our jury. Only the shortlisted names will be contacted for further participation.

INDIVIDUAL


The CISO MAG – Individual Category Awards aim to encourage individuals who exhibit impressive leadership and selfless dedication to growing the IT security industry and promoting standards that benefit and protect consumers and have significantly influenced a target demographic and has contributed to the growth of the industry.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Individual must have been performing leadership role (Fulltime) in security domain for an organization as a CISO/ CSO/ VP/ Director/ Security head or equivalent.
  • Individual should be from Indian private or public sector.
  • Individual must be one executive who has contributed to the information security industry, shown tremendous professional growth and achievement, and has promoted strong, innovative security practices.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Individual must have been performing leadership role (Fulltime) in security domain for an organization as a CIO or equivalent.
  • Individual should be from Indian private or public sector.
  • The performance aspect being measured entails IT Performance, IT agility, and Project performance/attractiveness
  • Individual
  • The election will focus on leadership aspects and business and boardroom credibility

Eligibility Criteria
  • A female IT security professional who has demonstrated outstanding work in progressing the industry and/or protecting the company from cyber threats.
  • Individual must be an executive who has transformed common rules, processes, strategies, and made a difference in the Information Security domain through new ideas and approaches, generating tangible results.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Individual must be a male performing leadership role (Fulltime) in security domain for an organization as a CIO or equivalent.
  • Individual should be from Indian private or public sector.
  • A major component of Individual’s  job should be related to Information Security/Cyber Security.
  • Individual must be an executive who has transformed common rules, processes, strategies, and made a difference in the Information Security domain through new ideas and approaches, generating tangible results

Eligibility Criteria
  • Individual must be a female performing leadership role (Fulltime) in security domain for an organization as a CIO or equivalent.
  • Individual should be from Indian private or public sector.
  • A major component of Individual’s  job should be related to Information Security/Cyber Security.
  • Individual must be an executive who has transformed common rules, processes, strategies, and made a difference in the Information Security domain through new ideas and approaches, generating tangible results.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Individual must be an executive who had a vision and leadership to create the fundamental building blocks for the Information security
  • Individual should be from Indian private or public sector.




CORPORATE



The CISO MAG – Corporate Category Awards aim to encourage companies that have demonstrated and applied new products and/or technology, which has contributed to the growth of the industry and cyberspace, and has leveraged existing (standard) technology in a new, creative and secure manner.

The winner would be an organization that has achieved a secure cyberspace and can demonstrate high levels of customer and employee satisfaction.

Eligibility Criteria
  • The company which has developed Information Security Product(s) can apply.
  • Company should be registered in India.
  • Best Cybersecurity Startup and Most Innovative Information security Company (between 10 and 49 employees) categories, as well as the Security Analytics, Network Security, and Threat Detection, Intelligence and Response categories.

Eligibility Criteria
  • The company must be a registered MSME Under the MSMED Act 2006 defined by Govt. of India
  • The company which has developed Information Security Product(s) can apply.
  • Non Profit organizations can also apply
  • Company must have contributed in development of indigenous hardware and software capabilities in core area of information security

Eligibility Criteria
  • Company should be registered in India.
  • Company should meet the following characteristics: -
    • Design and implementation of security solutions optimized to meet the client’s needs
    • Implementing state-of-the-art hardware and software security products
    • Certified security professionals
    • Rich experience with implementations of security solutions
    • Great added value and the price/quality ratio while maintaining the desired level of security
    • Deep business requirements, business continuity, and technical capabilities insight

Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicant must be an organization, operating in India (could include sectors such as Telecom, Bank, Energy, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Insurance, Hospitality and Aviation etc.)
  • Organization must have the following characteristics: -
    • Risks must be managed around the services and data
    • Projects design and security controls must be implemented
    • Risk-based inventory of systems and their functional security controls to help management determine where to invest in security measures must be maintained
    • Catalog of services and tools that help in appropriately secure
    • Data must be maintained
    • Security investigations and Proper incidents respond schemas must be in place




GOVERNMENT



The CISO MAG – Government Category Awards aim to encourage government entities, which have made significant contributions towards the implementation of e-Governance through specific project initiatives, and shown an exemplary & innovative approach to achieve administrative efficiency and transparency.

This would include (but is not limited to) community building, education, non-profit, mobile giving, community mobilization efforts, etc.Nominations are closed.

  • Government entities which have made significant contributions towards the implementation of e-Governance through specific project initiatives and shown an exemplary & innovative approach to achieve administrative efficiency and transparency.



Eligibility Criteria
  • Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ Institutions, State Government Departments/ Offices/ Institutions, District Administrations and Indian Missions Abroad are eligible to apply.
  • The best identity management software and projects with the most innovative approach in solving major business issues at the user end would be rewarded.
  • The project has to have been finalized within the last 12 months before the awards.



Eligibility Criteria
  • Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ Institutions, State Government Departments/ Offices/ Institutions, District Administrations and Indian Missions Abroad are eligible to apply.
  • The best projects on cloud with the most innovative approach in solving major business issues  at the user end would be rewarded.
  • The project has to have been finalized within the last 12 months before the awards.

  • Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ Institutions, State Government Departments/ Offices/ Institutions, District Administrations and Indian Missions Abroad are eligible to apply.
  • The government body who is transforming the IT industry through the use of technology, collaboration, evangelism, and innovation in delivery of information/services with adoption of best ICT practices.



Eligibility Criteria
  • Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ Institutions, State Government Departments/ Offices/ Institutions, District Administrations and Indian Missions Abroad are eligible to apply.
  • This category is designed to recognize the entities that present a smart and secure Mobile application to its end users reducing the cost, time and effort to accomplish its motive.
  • The application should be operational and accessible at the time of application submission and available in an international application store(s).



Eligibility Criteria
  • Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ Institutions, State Government Departments/ Offices/ Institutions, District Administrations and Indian Missions Abroad are eligible to apply.
  • Government bodies who have shown innovation and transformation in delivery of information/services with adoption of best ICT practices.

The CISO MAG – Product Category Awards aim to encourage products and/or technology which have significantly influenced a target demographic or community and has contributed to the growth of the industry,or has leveraged existing (standard) technology in a new, creative manner.

We are looking to recognize achievement in the development, sales and implementation of new products released that have a substantial base in India, or where the product or service is marketed within India.
